MALCOLM DOYLE
Guitar, vocals.
An extremely talented guitarist who plays right across the spectrum providing both great rhythm and lead to produce that distinctive 'Retro' sound. Also an accomplished singer, Malc shares vocals in the band with Chris.
CHRIS EVANS
Guitar, vocals
Chris is a semi-pro musician who believes that as well as delivering the goods musically, Retro gigs should be totally entertaining and audience involving.
COLIN PALMER
Drums
Colin has played in bands since his art college days in the 1970's. His articulate and precise drumming with pace, energy and feel is the engine driving the band along. Colin is also a professional artist where his details can be seen here:
PETER GILLIES
Bass, vocals
A very able and seasoned performer who was there at the start of it all having toured in Hamburg at the same time as the Beatles in the early 60's. Pete is the 'real deal'. He is also our sound engineer and is responsible for the very neat layout of our complex cable system.
A brief history
Retro was formed some thirteen years ago by musicians who met at a local open mic night.
The ethos of the band is that no matter whether large or small, they put one hundred per cent effort and energy into every gig. At every event they 'drain the tank'. Whilst always looking for new gigs and venues, with this kind of input they're careful not to over extend themselves. This means that when they do play it's more like an 'event' than a gig. As long as they have a responsive audience their gigs will always be successful.
Of course the proof is in the seeing and actions speak louder than words, so if you're looking for a band that plays the classic music of the 50's, 60's and 70's that gets everyone, young and old dancing, involved and entertained then you're on the right website.

We have Retro playing here on 5th October , we have seen these guys play live recently and they blew us away absolutely brilliant .. and they love you to get up and dance your butts off . Great night at The Kings last night watching and listening to Retro playing some great tunes. A really tight outfit, certainly had the crowd loving it. The dance floor was busy all night. They covered songs from the early years right up to present. A really good night. Well done guys.

Ok, so these gents are popping in to entertain us this Friday.
